I have 3 things today....2 are free ! First off, I made a few things for a kit and have been debating on really what to do with it besides scrap it. Starting out today is an alpha I made for Christmas, however unlike most alphas this time of year, this one can be used for any LO, it was made to be versatile. I have a love/hate relationship with "holiday" kits. You can only use them once a year. I've made so many things for a Christmas kit, I'm thinking of just making a couple of mini kits and giving the rest away. So check back ! I hope you enjoy, have a great day !

I've been working on a children's book I was asked to illustrate and working on a logo for the northeast college referees. I haven't actually scrapped anything except for the penscrappers.... I did make some papers yesterday and look forward to putting out something new....something with some thought. Hopefully something before Thanksgiving. Well I've been missing in action most of this summer. I've been busy with 2 baby showers, painting and my grandson has been staying most of the summer with me. He is going on eight and either he is bored or I'm really fun to be with because he hasn't let me get on the computer and scrapbook this entire summer. Well I take that back, he's busy upstairs playing right now. So, I thought I would take a minute and say....I haven't fell of the face of the earth....I've managed to slip in a couple of things here and there when he actually falls asleep before me...ha... anyway, I have a new kit coming out, it's called Elegance and of course it has a freebie with it. Scrappin and working on a mega kit

I'm working on a mega kit. It is called Breathless. The primary reason it's getting so big and I keep adding things to it is....both of my daughters will be giving me 2 new grandchildren at the end of August and I need to be ready. I will be taking alot of photos and I need to concentrate on that and of course, the babies. I will be finding out the sexes of the babies the 10th and the 19th. But I just couldn't wait, I have a feeling it will be one of each. Anyway, this mega kit incorporates 5 colors, so whatever I or you need, it will be there. This kit will be very versatile, not all elements are just for babies. I will have it done, tweaked and ready for the store in the next couple of weeks. I just keep adding to it and I have to make a weekend trip to Cincinnati, I have a date with an ultrasound. In the meantime, I scrapped a couple of pages from it for a sneek peek. Just a couple photoshop tricks

I have so many, as I use them, I'll remember to come here and jot them down for you. The one I use the most is double-click anywhere outside your page (in your working space) and it will open the "open" window. You don't have to click file and then open. This saves so much time ! The other one is adding the same fx (effects) to another layer (CS4) is hold down the alt key, click on the "effects" layer (under your main layer)(a big fx will start to move with you as you drag) and drag it to the layer you want the fx, it's magic. It's important that you know this as well, if you click on the main layer instead of the effects it will duplicate what you are dragging. If you hold down the shift or ctrl key as you are dragging the fx symbol, you have effectively moved the effects from the original to the one you land on. Also don't forget the most important one of all....hold down shift as you are dragging your paper to your LO, it will center it perfectly. This one works in all PS versions. I LOVE SHORTCUTS ! more to come...

I decided to do a little organizing of files in my computer, I'm usually not a distractable person, however when it comes to scrapbooking, I lose time and sense of what I'm suppose to be doing. Anyway, long story short, I ended up making a new piece of paper, adding some elements from Got Blues and then decided on the wordart from Expressions. The end result was soft and subtle, or I think so. New day, back to organizing....have a great day!

Well, here I am, I have a few new LO's and some news...pixels are done and ready for sale, actually they have been for about a week now. I hate that it has taken this long, I'm a little concerned about one thing, my wordart. I've had it made for a couple of weeks and I did my rounds of the blogs I peruse and it seems TaylorMade had the same idea. I absolutely hate this, so Amanda I am truly sorry, I would never take your ideas for my own. I just looked through some LO's and some photos of Bailey and all those things I said are things I felt or saw in him. So again, I'm sorry. Now on to other matters....my things will be for sale tomorrow, so check back and I will have a post....+ freebies ! Well, the move has taken over and I really would like to know how do you accumulate so much stuff? It's everywhere...it is almost it's own entity. It somehow has a mind of its own. I'm not a pack rat by no means....it's furniture mostly. How many beds or sofas can you sleep on or sit on at once? I mean really....anyway, it has made me behind on designing and I'm not happy about that. I'll try to have it all done by the end of the week. I will have freebies so check back. New LO and an award

I've been busy creating and not much scrapping. I'm getting together some kits for sale and of course some freebies. This takes quite a lot of my time, between both of my daughters being pregnant (1 is 10weeks 5days and the other is 10weeks and 2days. You would think they planned this), work and planning a move, I'm close to wiped out. Hopefully by the end of this week, all will be made and I will scrap a few pages. I would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone here and on 4shared for all your kind words and encourgement. Playing with paper + Freebie

Well, I've come to the conclusion I'm obsessed with blending paper. I spent hours today making one piece of paper. Between paper I had, paper I made, stamps, brushes, etc. I was able to finish one (1) piece I liked. After making the paper, I was on my last creative nerve. So, I will apologize for the LO with the paper, I was tired and threw something together. I thought I would share the paper and wordart with you...hopefully if you like it, I will feel better about the time spent. The wordart can be colored or moved around, left it as psd so you could play with it. Enjoy!

Well I made another LO with Vinnie's Wishes and Dreams, still enjoying the versatility of it. I tried my hand @ making something to give away today. I wanted it to be a QP, however I wanted you to have the option of where you wanted to put your photo and be able to resize it if necessary. So the frame is separate and can be reused. Really enjoying Wishes and Dreams- Vinnie Pearce

I'm pleased. This was kinda easy to do, I just went through the entire collab and threw all I really liked into CS4. Then I went to arranging it. Was finding so much I liked, thought it would be too busy, however I feel I pulled it off. I had fun, I hate doing a page for 4 hours and then the next day deciding "you know I really don't like that". It happens, I find I spend alot of time "revamping" pages. When I was doing the book for my daughter, there were 51 pages and out of those I redid 20 LO's. What's really strange, I redid about 5 of those more than 3 x each. I find if I am truly happy with the way one turns out, I know it immediately.

Well, it's 1:16 am here and I should be in bed, however, I wanted to finish my new blog design. I first want to give a great big huge enormous digital hug to Amanda Taylor of TaylorMade Designs. She allowed me to use her materials to create it. I love this photo of Bailey and it is enhanced by her materials. When I finished reading her email, I jumped up, ran to my "other half" and the first thing out of my mouth was....not only is she talented, she is so sweet. He of course thought I "jumped over the edge" so I explained from the beginning. Of course, him being a man, well a typical man, shared my enthusiasm with a "that's nice". I started with a No, that's wonderful!!! Then proceeded back to the computer to get started. I couldn't just stop @ my header, I had to do something nice for Amanda. With that being said, please click on the icon to the left and go BUY all her stuff. I mean it, you won't be sorry. I can't believe another year has gone by....Bailey had his seventh birthday on the 29th. He is such a wonderful addition to this world. He is not your typical little boy, he is so sweet and thoughtful, such a joy. Anyway, I hope the new year brings happiness and joy to all. Happy New Year..

I was creating some new paper, just basically messing around when I was pleased with the color of the paper and thought red, it needs something red. So I added some red and then thought I have a picture of Bailey that would look good on this, so needless to say I added a little of this and that and I scrapped a page. Not what I started out doing. Well, at least I'm pleased with the page. I think I'll try another paper or two, we'll see.... I do enjoy surprises.

I'm new to the digi-scrapbooking, I've been a paper scrapper since the birth of my grandson in 2001. I was introduced to it by google when I was looking for a store near where I moved. I'm totally hooked. I've always enjoyed the creativity of scrapbooking, however there are no limits in the digi-world. I use to think you had to "fill" up a page, realized that is "9 kinds of wrong". I've been very busy since the introduction to this medium working on a scrapbook for a Christmas present. It was for my grown daughter, birth until marriage. I plan to create more on my own, give away and sell some things. Here are a few of the pages I finished for the book. Also, I created a DVD slideshow with music on a LightScribe disk to accompany her book. I would love to know what you think. Have a wonderful New Year !
